Ready To Go; Looking To Leave
One day I will pick up and go,
To a place I shall not know.
Leave everything of mine behind,
Including my current state of mind.
Search and explore for a new start,
Remove these toxins from my heart.
A new face, a different name,
Fresh environment for me to tame.
Maybe I will live on the land,
Carry only what I can hold in hand.
Or win the heart of a maiden,
Sleep in the castles of Aden.
Live on a boat, drifting through sea,
Docking only where I decree.
Reside in the tunnels of Manhattan,
Searching for an ancient Dragon.
I could choose a store to be sacked,
Become an accessory before the fact.
Hitchhike across the Continents,
Until I gain some prominence.
I’d like to go anywhere that’s not here,
To just one day vanish, disappear.
I’ve been secluded to a single state,
A different location is what I await.
I do not know where I will travel,
Or how long it will take to unravel,
My tangled up sense of thought,
Painting a vivid picture most fraught.
